[Asn1, Val5]-Angiotensin II, also known as angiotensin amine, is a peptide hormone composed of eight amino acids and is a modified fragment polypeptide of angiotensin II. It retains the amino acids 1 to 8 in the original sequence, with the 1st amino acid replaced by aspartic acid (Asp) to asparagine (Asn), and the 5th amino acid replaced by isoleucine (Ile) to valine (Val). It participates in a variety of physiological processes by binding to specific receptors.
